Samsung UN55B8000 55-Inch LED HDTV Review

Remember the time when flat panel TVs started to take over the old bulky CRT TVs? Well the second wave of change is coming. LED HDTVs will soon take over conventional LCD and plasma HDTVs. LED HDTVs are super-thin, uses very little energy and produces superb video quality. It will be just a matter of time before they take over the HDTV market. Design: Firstly, it must be mentioned that the samsung UN55B8000 55-inch LED HDTV looks just stunning. This model is just 1.2-inches thick at its thickest point, giving it an amazing side profile. On the front, it has a glossy black surface that is decorated with a thin layer of transparent acrylic/plastics along its edges. It rests on a transparent stalk that connects it to a brushed-metal stand. The chic design and looks of this model is on its own a good enough of a reason for you to get one of these.

Features & Performance: Like most high-end Samsung HDTV models, the Samsung UN55B8000 comes with Yahoo Widgets. When connected to the internet, it allows you to access a variety of online content such as streaming videos from YouTube. For connectivity, it comes with a wide array of connectors that include 4 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports on the side. The video quality on this model was as expected, nothing short of amazing. The black levels on this model matched those of some of the best plasma HDTVs in the market. The colors were accurate and watching fast action sequences was a flawless experience. Like most LED HDTVs, the 55-inch Samsung UN55B8000 is currently a little more expensive that regular HDTVs. If you can afford the hefty price tag, this LED HDTV would definitely be worth the investment!
